EASTER 2007

Easter was great fun for the kids this year. The weather was unusually cold and rainy. But, God saw to it that things cleared into a beautiful blue sky during Easter church services and stayed clear enough for an Easter egg hunt for the kids in the afternoon. Easter morning was too rainy and wet though, so the Easter Bunny had to hide eggs inside the house this year!
Ready to go Mom!

I start with this.....

And I get this! Avery is proud of the eggs she has made!

Andrew liked to play with the eggs. He dropped and broke one, banged a few together and rolled them around. One day he'll learn, one day....

What will happen if I drop the egg in my hand?

Andrew and his eggs!

Avery and her brightly colored eggs.

Mommy, do you see any eggs?

Oops! Almost forgot to look in the stereo :)

Eggs, eggs, eggs everywhere! The stove is "taped" shut for a reason. The kids made what is called Resurrection cookies. The steps in making them correlate to Bible passages about Jesus' death and resurrection. You put them in a warm oven and turn it off. Then you seal it with tape and take them out the next morning only to find that they are hollow on the inside, just like Jesus' tomb. The kids enjoyed doing this.

MOMMY! The Easter Bunny hid an egg on the refrigerator! Clever bunny I say ;)

Who says you can't find good stuff in the bathroom??!!

Avery on the hunt.

Avery is showing off her Easter loot - her favorite was the eggs that contained a quarter :)

Andrew seems to be happy with all of the stuff the Easter Bunny brought him! Like Avery, his favorite were the eggs that had a quarter in them.

Her head may not be in the picture, but it looks like Andrew is getting some expert advice from Bekah :)

Ahhh, maybe Andrew is onto something! Chloe followed around her favorite little guy during the Easter egg hunt!

Most of the pictures of Avery are not so good because her hair is always in her face! She didn't care though because eggs were more important.

Avery is loading them up as fast as she can.

Hmmmmm..... I might need Chloe to help me find more eggs.

I'm not sure what is so interesting, but all of the Easter egg hunters are checking out Andy's basket :)

It looks as if Andy is consulting with Chloe again.....

One happy Easter egg hunter!

And..... Another shot of my little poser!

Avery seems happy with a full basket!

***HAPPY EASTER EVERYONE***
