Here, There and Everywhere!

Since school ended, it has been crazy! We've been busier than I thought we would and I haven't had the time to post pictures! Here is what's been going on the last few weeks.

On his way home a few weeks ago, Wade saw that the McDonald's down the street had the Ronald McDonald shoe car out front, so he took the kids to go see it!

We have been going to the library frequently and Avery has been spending a lot of time reading.

Mom and Dad were in Arizona for a week and a half, so we went to check on Chloe every other day. The kids got to swim while we were there too! Here is Avery showing that she can stand in the shallow end of the pool.

Both kids like to float around in their swim rings!

Just a shot of them in the pool.

And another!

A cute picture of Daddy and Andrew :)

Look at that little baby in Wade's arms! Have we added to the family?

No! It's just Andrew. He was whining and acting like a baby, so Wade wrapped (swaddled) him in a blanket like a baby. Andrew did NOT like that.

Wade and I recently went to a chinese restaurant and saw this adorable dress. We just had to get it for Avery. Doesn't she look adorable?

We went to Corpus Christi with Wade's dad this weekend - Avery and I spent a lot of time in the car coloring :)

This lovely missing piece of rubber on my tire led to ......

a $600 trip to the Wal-Mart in Portland, Texas! Long story short - apparently we lost a chunk of rubber off of the tire on the way to Corpus. We drove for 3+ hours with it like this, unaware it had happened. Ronnie saw it the next day and off to Wal-Mart we went! I got 54k miles on these tires, so I'm not complaining! Instead of just replacing one, we replaced all of them since we had planned to do it soon anyway, just not on our trip! Oh well :)

It rained all day Friday and Saturday in Corpus Christi, so we couldn't do much. We had planned to take the kids to the beach, but the weather prevented it. Wouldn't you know it - on Sunday it cleared up and was beautiful! Here is Wade and the kids at the Dunes in Portland. This is just a minute from were his granny used to live. It's a beautiful spot!

And me and the kids!

A picture of the Dunes.

And another!

Wade and the kids.

Me and the kids!

Wade and the kids walking out to the Dunes.

We took a very brief trip to the beach before heading home. We went right by the Lexington and took pics of the kids. Here is Avery!

And Andrew!

This propeller makes the kids look tiny :)

A walk on the beach.....

And their toes in the water!

My little man!

And the little princess :)

And Wade! The pink purse it not his - it's Avery's camera case :)

And finally, the kids at a souvenir shop photo op (that rhymed!!). After that we headed back home and are all very tired today!

The Gallery of a Sleeping Andrew

Andrew likes to sleep. In just the last few weeks I realized that I have a bunch of pictures of him sleeping. I figured he deserved his own entry today! All of the pictures below have been taken within the last 3 weeks!

Imagine my surprise when I went to check on him on night and he was asleep with his Santa hat on :)

After a day of swimming, a rosy cheeked Andy fell asleep on the couch!

On another day he fell asleep on the couch again. Avery and I were upstairs and I asked her what Andy was doing cause it was awful quiet! She said he was downstairs watching Spongebob. We went downstairs and there he was - notice he does have the remote with him :)

Same day - look at how he fell asleep!

Asleep in the car!

Again.....

Same day, different time! I'm guessing that since he is falling asleep all over the place he might need a few more naps at home. I made him take a nap today. When he came downstairs later he told me he didn't nap, although I knew otherwise! I asked him if he woke up in his bed. He said yes, he woke up there, but he wasn't asleep - hmmmmm......

Busy Week!

It has been one busy week! Wednesday was Kindergarten Graduation and Thursday was the last day of school followed by the 8th Grade Graduation. I have been sick all week, so that has only added to the joy :)

Here is Avery posing with her Kindergarten teacher Mrs. Herkstroeter - don't you love how Avery has one of her legs up!

Here is the whole Kindergarten class. From left to right: Khari, Kaitlyn, Sean, Deepa, Kendall, Brianna, Avery, Grace and Madison!

In the picture above they are singing the song about bring home a baby bumblebee - I knew that song as a kid!

More of the baby bumblebee song.

This is Avery reciting her Bible verse. She did a great job!

And here she is accepting her diploma :)

Bekah and Aunt Lori came to see Avery graduate - it meant a lot to Avery! Bekah just graduated 8th grade this week, along with Ashley. Avery felt pretty cool to have two big 8th graders as cousins!

Aunt Amy was also at Avery's graduation!

And of course PawPaw was there for her too!

Poppy and Nonny came to see Avery graduate and gave her the cute little dog you saw in the picture with Amy.

Above is a picture of our family at the graduation.

It was a long night for Avery! She fell asleep on the way home.

LAST DAY OF SCHOOL!!! - Avery is showing off one of her art projects.

Andrew? Well, Andrew amuses himself with a ball.

A cute picture of brother and sister.

Avery and Madison!

Avery and Sean. Sean is the only boy in a class of 9!

Avery and Brianna.

The last day of school is Cougar Olympics. They divide the school into teams and they participate in various games. Here's Avery in the gym playing a game.

Sack races!

Avery is exited because it's hot outside and they get to use water in the next game!

Avery is racing to fill up a bucket with a cup - the cups have holes in the bottom!

The day is over and Avery got quite wet! Thank goodness for the extra set of clothes I brought for her!

This afternoon (Saturday) we went to the Astros game. Ronnie gave us tickets from his company, so they were GREAT seats! We were along the 1st baseline, only 12 rows from the front. I have personally never sat so close. I've only sat in the nosebleed section at Minute Maid Park!

Another shot so you can see how close we were.

1st base coach Jose Cruz signed a glove for Avery! I told the kids that I got to meet Jose Cruz when I was a little kid and he played for the Astros - really neat!

Andrew brought a ball with him and Jose Cruz signed that for him!

A picture of the kids taken by Wade!

Yep, that's Craig Biggio! He stretched before the game on the field. The ladies in the crowd went wild!

"What, cotton candy is nothing but sugar? COOL!!"

Hey Andy, you've got a little something on your mouth :)

Daddy and Andy!

Mommy and Avery!

Avery and Andy ham it up for me.

LOOK! Andrew is catching a fly ball! Oh wait, it's not real :)

Avery's turn!

When Andy went to bed tonight, he was too tired to take off his hat. When I went to check on him I had to pull it off of him.

That's it for now! I am glad it's summer, although after a few weeks alone with the kids I might change my mind :\
