Here is Wade with his new skateboard. Aunt Lori and Aunt Lea gave him a gift certificate to a skate shop for all the work he did for the school dance and he went out the next day to buy a board. He is so thrilled with it!
MOM - Put the camera AWAY!
Just Wade and Avery!
Andrew decided that maybe he could use the skateboard to do gymnastic type things on instead of skating - um yeah!
Tired after maybe 5 minutes of playing, Andrew took a break.
Sunday after church we went to the skate park. Here is Andy practicing!
Andy wouldn't let Avery use his board. Avery didn't want to use Daddy's old board, hence this face.
This is the bowl. It looks like a swimming pool, but it is specifically designed for skateboards. This was Wade's first time to really try it out!
And another shot! Once he gets better he will be able to "drop in." That means standing at the top and essentially dropping in and going straight down into the bowl. Never, never, never do I want to try that!
Sunday afternoon we went to Kemah with Rob, Jen and Sadie! Here are Avery and Andrew as we waited for the ferry boat to take us to the boardwalk from the parking lot.
Aren't they cute? Andy, Sadie and Avery posed for me :)
Watching the boats, Sadie and Andy hammed it up for the camera.
Another picture of the three cousins :)
And another in front of the shark!
Everyone rode the ferris wheel except Jen - it's not her favorite thing! Here is Wade and Avery.
And Andrew! I am so proud of him because I expected him to be terrified, but he wasn't.
Here is Rob and Sadie in their "car"! I have another picture, but Rob was showing me his favorite finger in that one so I can't post it :)
Jen and Sadie rode this airplane swing thing. It went round and round like the swing type rides and got higher and higher. Sadie LOVED it!
After rides, it was time for a trip to the candy store! Here are the girls with their lollipops.
And Andrew too!
Just a cute picture of Sadie!
Robbie REALLY enjoyed his fudge (insert jokes here...)!
Wade ate too much pucker powder (sour candy) and had a blue tongue and teeth!
Avery couldn't figure out how to eat her lollipop once the stick got in the way. So, being the wonderful mother that I am, I held it and twirled it around while she licked. It was quite a site I tell you!
The kids loved the cool mist area and danced around for a while.
Rob took this picture of our family for us!
And here is my picture of Rob, Jen, Sadie and soon-to-be Christopher!
We all ate at Joe's Crab Shack for dinner. That really is a story for another time! Suffice to say, service was NOT good :)
I should have known Rob couldn't take a serious picture with the girls!
