Fall Festival & Pumpkin Carving

Here are Avery and Andrew at the fall festival! Avery's wig was itchy, so it didn't stay on too long. This was our school's first year to have a fall festival and we had a great turnout - at least 150 people!

Avery is pictured above fishing for a treat!

Above is our little Capt. Jack Sparrow, aka, Andrew. He is fishing for a treat here!

Above is Avery, also known as Wonder Woman, and Bekah. Bekah is dressed as a greek goddess and looks every bit the part!

Sadie came dressed as a little kitty! She looked so cute!

Above is a very tired little pirate and his daddy.

Here is Wonder Woman doing her best superhero pose :)

Andrew is bowling to win candy! Behind him is our schoold principal, Mr. Herkstroeter.

Tonight we carved pumpkins at Mom and Dad's. Want to guess who carved the one above??? If you can't guess than I can't help you!

I did this one and it was done to please a certain someone.......hmmmmm!!

Avery's First Field Trip!

Avery had her first field trip on Friday, October 20th at the Oil Ranch in Hockley, Texas. I drove 3 giggling girls and their teacher for the trip. Above is Avery rising a horse. She got to do this twice!

This is Avery in the middle. On the left is Kaitlyn and on the right is Deepa.

The above picture is the Kindergarten class! From left to right: Madison, Kaitlyn, Khari, Avery, Deepa, Grace, Kendall and Sean. On the far right is Trenton, Mrs. H's 4 year old son. He isn't a Kindergartener just yet, but he joined us for the field trip.

Avery got to milk a cow and here she is petting a baby calf.

Just a cute picture of Avery!

Each student got to pick out a small pumpkin to take home - here is Avery with hers!

The BEST Pictures of The Kids!

Last week I took the kids to Portrait Innovations. While I bought WAY too many pictures, they are just phenomenal! Below are a bunch of the pics that were taken. You can click on the pictures to see them larger, except for the first one. Not sure why, but that one won't enlarge!

RUSK 2006

We left for our trip to Rusk early on Thursday. Avery was so excited that she stayed awake the whole way up.

Andrew, well, he was excited, but sleepiness got the best of him!

The kids rode the train with Wade. This is the last year that the train will be running, so I'm glad they had this chance. I'm not sure what Andy is doing in the extreme close-up, but I'm sure he is wishing he was giving mommy a big kiss!

Avery is pictured above, acting like the shy and withdrawn child that she is (hahahaha!).

Poor Andy! No matter how hard he trys, the sleep bug keeps biting!

Avery is pictured here showing off her "smooshed" penny from the railroad tracks.

Andrew is showing off his smooshed dime!

Just a cute picture of Avery and Wade :)

Stacy, Kyle and Jacob came up for the day on Saturday. This is such a sweet picture of little Jacob!

And another.... Of course it's not too hard to get cute pics of this little guy!

Somebody left an adult beverage in their cupholder! Poor Jacob was trying to enjoy it, but it was empty AND mean old daddy took it away from him!

Mom and her baby (no, not Amy). This was Chloe's first camping trip.

Love is..... Sharing a 4 wheeler meant for 1!

Avery and Andrew spent hours riding their trikes.

Andrew FINALLY started pedalling his bike! He has had it since he turned 2 and he would walk the bike, no pedalling. He felt like such a big boy :)

Caleb (our godson) is only 19 months old, but he wants desperately to be a big boy and keep up with Andrew and Joshua. He's playing with Joshua's monster trucks here.

Speaking of cute, how about Bethany and Ryan? I tell ya, those two are gonna have cute kids one day!

More four wheeler sharing, only this time it's the girls :)

I figured it was good to end the post with the cuteness that is Caleb!

Where Has The Time Gone??

Today was Andrew's first day of preschool. It made me a little sad to drop off my baby. At least when I dropped off Avery, I still had Andy with me. Now it's just me. Of course, it was a happy day too! 3 days a week now I will have a little free time between my trips back and forth to preschool and Abiding Word. And those hours need to be spent packing up the house! It is no wonder that my barely 2 year old vehicle has almost 40,000 miles!

Here is our big preschooler with his new shirt, shoes and backpack!

And of course big sis had to get in on the picture taking!

As we waited in the parking lot for the doors to be opened, Andrew tried very hard not to let me take his picture. I had to convince him that I had turned off the camera and then when he turned around -SNAP-, I gotcha!

Brandon and Katelyn Edmonds go to preschool with Andy. Brandon is in the 4 year old class and Katelyn (our goddaughter) is in the 3 year old class like Andrew. Katelyn and Andy are at the same table and sit next to each other!

Here is a picture of Andy and Katelyn at their table, ready for the day to start.

Brandon joined them for a picture - all 3 of these kiddos love taking pictures!

And one final shot of my baby. Isn't he adorable? I love his expression in this picture :)

He had a good day in school. Of course, like his sister, the first thing he did was tell me what he had for snack. He fell asleep about five minutes down the road and has been an ornery little turkey the rest of the day. I do believe bedtime is gonna have to start being a little earlier.
